what is a body composition test?

  • This is a test using an impediment machine/scale. A gentle wave of electricity is sent through your body to provide information on your current health.

  • This test will provide us with information such as your basal metabolic rate, metabolic age, level of visceral fat, body fat percentage, and how hydrated you are.

  • Information like those provided during this testing will allow Healing Ginger to provide you with YOU-specific suggestions, such as stress management recommendations, macronutrient splits, movement advice, etc.

FAQs

I’m not perimenopausal or menopausal is this program still for me?

Yes, although this program is geared towards perimenopause, even if you are not yet there this program will provide you with helpful information on how to best support yourself and your body once perimenopause enters the chat.

Do I need to attend the workshop live?

In short, no. The workshop will be recorded for you to view later if you miss the live event or even just so you can go and give yourself a refresher about what we have discussed.

The only thing that you will miss out on is the live Q&A after the presentation, however if you are unable to attend live, feel free to email me your questions and I will be happy to respond.

I have dietary restrictions will th e meal plans take that into account?

The meal plans are generalized to help provide delicious, approachable and nourishing meals to the widest audience possible. That said you will have access to ME (Healing Ginger) and I am always happy to offer you substitutions and help you find meals and combinations that will work for you.

What is different about this diet?

First thing, first. This isn’t a diet. This is a course designed to help you make informed decisions to suit your body best and its hormonal needs as you experience perimenopause. The tools and guidance offered in this program will allow you to develop a balanced approach to eating, fat loss, energy support, improved sleep, and overall just feeling amazing in your skin. There is no magic, anything, or secret fix, just a straightforward science-backed approach to feeling in control of your body again.

I don’t have time to make everything from scratch will I have to?

Absolutely not! The meal plans and recipes are offered to you as inspiration of what types of foods and food combinations you could be eating, but you will also be provided with other tools and guidance on how to use pre-made items, eat out/order in and all around live a nourishing and realistic life. This program will not demonize foods, eating at restaurants or relying on packaged food items.

Will I have to buy hundreds of dollars worth of supplements?

Nope, not at all. We will discuss supplementation, what works and what might be worth the money, but this is not where we start. The program is focused on helping you develop sustainable habits and that means affordable, which means we will start with what you eat, how you rest, and how you move.
